The pungent fleshy root of a well-known cruciferous plant
(Paphanus sativus); also, the whole plant.

the onion fly.

Rat-tailed radish (Bot.), an herb (Raphanus caudatus)
having a long, slender pod, which is sometimes eaten.

Wild radish (Bot.), the jointed charlock.
